Feeling (cough) better!

Hey everybody!

Whew, I’m starting to get some energy back (after 4 liters of MD a day for 3 days, I better be getting some energy back!), and I wanted to share an interesting discovery.

In addition to that glorious ambrosia MD, I’ve also taken to drinking tea since my illness. After a little wiki-sleuthing, I learned a lot about the different kinds of tea:

Kukicha. Green tea. Rooibos. Oolong. Jasmine. Corn tea.

Yeah, that’s right, corn tea!

What is that, you’re asking? Well, apparently in Korea, you can get this drink that looks like green tea, but when you take a sip… it tastes like corn. I ordered some of this, partially because it seemed interesting, partly because of our recent corn experiments (still no go), and partly because I like to think of myself as a culturally sensitive individual.

Well, let me tell you, it was really good! …for the first few sips. But then it starts to… well, it starts to build up in your throat, and everything starts to taste like corn. I drank the whole bottle, and afterward, every breath I took tasted like weird corn for the rest of the night. I give it one thumb up, and one thumb sideways. Oh well.

What about you guys? What’s your favorite tea? Reply in the comments!

Whew…

Hi everybody,

I’m sorry for not updating. I’ve been a little woozy since my trip to the Drag. I’m not sure if it’s (can I say this?) SARS or not, but I have not been feeling up to snuff. Have I missed anything interesting? I heal by playing Runescape and drinking MD three times a day. It seems to be working so far, so I’m going to keep it up a bit longer.

Hooray…almost!

Erik

A big thank you to all of my digital friends!

Hello out there in binary land!

I’m so glad you’re tuning in to my blog! This is working exactly like I wanted: Me, Mat and Neil have never been paying more attention to one another. It’s perfect! We should have set up these blogs months ago. I’m surprised so many people have stumbled upon my little corner of the grid; I guess being so vocal on all my forums, groups, bulletin boards, blogs, wikis, social networks, and chat rooms is a good way to make friends. See Neil?

Anyway, I noticed something really unsettling today: how come the original yellow ranger doesn’t have a skirt, but the pink ranger does? Does that seem weird to anybody else?

Time to research!

Have a delightful evening, everybody!
Erik

Gotta catch…

Hey hey hey everybody,

I was just having a spirited discussion on my board alt.90s.awesometown, and I wanted to reach out to you my loyal fans in the hopes of settling a minor dispute. I’m wondering which trading card game you guys played back in the day?? I know Pokemon was hot, but don’t forget about Star Wars and Magic! Legend of the Five Rings, anyone? Come on, somebody’s gotta be willing to take a memory-lane trip with me back to Rokugan, no?

Anybody? Respond in the comments!

Hooray,
Erik

Today in the apartment!

Mat went out two hours ago to get an ear of corn. He says he saw on the Spanish cooking show that you can make popcorn by shucking it and putting it in the microwave. Does anyone know if that’s true? Meh, I guess we’ll just try it; I like science experiments and it’s fun to just hang out with the guys.

I just remembered that there’s a sale on MD this week. Mat must have tried to carry too much back again. Last time he had to “borrow” a homeless man’s shopping cart to get it all home. And even then, it only lasted 4 days.

P.S. – If the pueblo201 guy reads this: I don’t know how you got my email or why you think I want to debate Transformers with you. Please stop emailing me. You’re wrong about Beast Wars, just check Wikipedia.

Man, what a day…

I was on my forum when somebody proposed that Beastwars was superior to the original Transformers…

I know, right?!

So, I spent the day going back over footage, trivia, wiki, and action figures just to make an educated rebuke. And rebuke I did, they completely disregarded the lack of a cohesive villainous force throughout the Beast Wars franchise. SO LAME.

I’m a little shaken though, we’re usually such a unified community. We’re stronger than a bunch of sticks wrapped together with beef jerky. But now, I dunno what to think… at least I have Mat and Neil, they always back me up. I wonder what their blogs are like…

Hello Blogosphere!

Hello out there in the Blogosphere!

My roomates and I have made a blogging bet. Whoever can get the most views on their blog will get $100 ($50 from each of the two losers). I don’t think Mat and Neil are as web-centric as I am, so I’m a shoe in. $100 will buy a lot of MD for me and the guys… Anywho, I’ll be back soon with a more in depth post, but I wanted to start it out light.

Love,

Erik
